| Sheep Stitch Markers | ![]() |
Someone posted some stitch markers like these at www.polymerclaycentral.com and I thought they were SO CUTE I had to make some for a knitting friend. They are used to mark places while knitting.
| Harken's Photo Album | ![]() |
This photo album was constructed using the same process as my credit card/ID wallets. It is large enough to hold 4" x 6" photos. The twig is from a madrona tree which is rather abundant on the San Juan Islands. The reddish brown cover is made of polymer clay. I was going for an aged leather look, but I do not think I accomplished that. The "wrinkles" on the clay were created by impressing a piece of paper that I crumpled and smoothed repeatedly into the clay. The image on the front cover is Harken (the small, hard-to-distinguish figure in the bottom right) at Artist's Point in the Mt. Baker National Forest. I "aged" the photo to go along with the "old" theme by rubbing light brown ink on it. Sadly, the orange clay in the "2008" started cracking but I finally decided that went along with the "aged" theme of the piece. The interior is made of a green fabric that reminds me of the forest. Overall, I think it's a nice "druid-y" photo album, which was my objective! :-)

| Flat Face | ![]() |
Once a month I go to a "Crafters' Night" and one month one of the participants gave an impromptu lesson on how to sculpt faces. This was what I made--it was SO much fun! I turned him into a fridge magnet.
